Estimation of Ratio of Two Population Means using Auxiliary Attributes in Presence of Non-Response
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present paper deals the problem of estimating the ratio of two population means (R) and two general classes of estimators for (R) using auxiliary attribute in presence of non-response have been proposed under two different cases. The expressions for bias and mean square error of the proposed classes of estimators are obtained under large sample approximation. The specified conditions under which the members of the proposed classes of estimators attain minimum mean square error have been obtained. It is also shown through the theoretical and empirical studies that the proposed classes of estimators are more efficient than the conventional estimator used in practices.
